The Annapolis School of Seamanship is dedicated to educating and empowering mariners with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed, safe decisions when operating and maintaining a vessel. Our courses will enhance your confidence level, strengthen your skills, and make you a safer, more informed boater. Learn from experienced industry professionals specializing in a variety of disciplines. Most classes are team taught by experienced licensed captains and industry trade experts. This unique blend incorporates both practical operator experience and expert technical knowledge.

Capt. George Hastick

Capt. George Hastick started freshwater fishing at the age of four and wanted to become a professional bass fisherman. He moved to Florida at 12 years old and fell in love with saltwater fishing. His passion and knowledge of saltwater fishing grew over the years, which led him to become a professional fishing guide in the Tampa Bay area. He has been fishing in the Tampa Bay Area for over 40 years and more than half that time as a professional guide. Capt. George has won many of the local inshore fishing tournaments and is well known in the area. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with everyone he meets. He loves to fish for anything that swims but enjoys fishing the flats and backwaters, especially for snook and redfish. Anyone that steps aboard his boat “The Fish Hunter” will feel like they have been fishing buddies for years.

Capt. Michael Dawson

Capt. Michael Dawson of Patriotic Guide Service is a full-time charter captain out of Tarpon Springs Fl. Captaining a 2020 Tidewater Baymax 2410, Michael has the knowledge, technology, and skill set to put you on fish! Michael has a bachelor’s degree from USF where he was the president of the fishing club and team for 3 years. He has been guiding the waters of Anclote Full time now for six years and prides himself in educating his clients on the surrounding fisheries.

Capt. Pam Wirth

Capt. Pam Wirth got hooked on kayak fishing and now has become one of the best female anglers in our area. She catches everything from sailfish, red snapper, snook, trout, and redfish all from a kayak. Her love for fishing and competitive nature makes her one of the top female anglers in our market.

Capt. Sergio Atanes

Capt. Sergio Atanes grew up in Ybor City. He was hooked for life at the age of four when he picked up his first rod made from an old broomstick. Antes worked in the corporate world to pay for his family’s wellbeing, but his true passion was always fishing. Once his duties as a father and provider were met, he retired to live his dream. Capt. Sergio Atanes has been on radio and TV for over 20 years doing what he loves best. Capt. Sergio Atanes has the only national Hispanic TV fishing show AVENTURAS DE PESCA USA and a Monday night Facebook Live and YouTube show called FLORIDA WEST COAST FISHING REPORT. Capt. Sergio Atanes is also an outdoor writer for Coastal Angler, Mariner, Onshore/Offshore, and Woods n Water magazines where he shares his past and present fishing experiences.
